Mesmerizing

Nicholas Steele and the Booth Bros. crafted another erotic classic: Julia Ann in the title role as an erotic illusionist of tantalizing appeal.

These dozens of features, styled at Adam & Eve as Ultimate Pictures productions, established a timeless genre of Couples Romance, unfortunately mainly forgotten two decades later amidst a world of gonzo porn.

Randy Spears narrates and co-stars, playing a reporter (ex real estate agent) interviewing Julia Ann about her career as a sexual illusionist, who combines explicit sex with her stage magic act.

In flashbacks, dreams and fantasy scenes we see her parents (Lee Stone and Dru Berrymore) and other magic players in sexual action, leading to a surprising and very satisfying Mobius Strip type of conclusion to the saga. Under Julia's spell, Spears learns a lot about himself in Philip O'toole's strong screenplay; Philip and brother Saint handle most of these movies' creative roles, including camera, music, wardrobe and art direction.

Julia looks marvelous, and both she and Randy underplay their roles nicely. Ultra busty Payne Govanni is terrific as a masked fetish performer in one of the fantasy stage performances.
