Karthik's flair for light romantic comic roles has not faded with his age . The movie belongs to both Karthik and Meena equally . She is pretty , slim and is always dressed in pastel salwars or sarees clinging to her .She looks good even when angry or sad .
Karthik is a ad film executive and is always resorting to lies to save himself from tricky situations . he sees Menna ( a school principal ) and falls for her . He tells several lies to go close to her like he does not smoke , does not eat non veg food etc., But she finds out eventually and finally forgives him. Just when they are about to get married , he gets into a bar brawl with veteran Janagraj who vows vengeance and writes an anonymous love letter to Meena saying he has a secret lover .
Again a series of misunderstandings follow between them , just when he finishes convincing her about his trust and honesty a real girl by that mentioned name turns up in his house . She has a poignant story of her own and is running away from her greedy brother and missing lover .
A new series of confusions , mixups follows and finally Janagraj himself comes forward to set matters straight .
Songs Shot in exotic locales , the movie is perfect for a family watching . Meena is a pure delight to watch she lights up the screen every-time she comes . Her hair styles, wardrobe is a perfect match for her .

A fairy tale from two decades back

After watching this movie after more than two decades since it was made, i was forced to review this title based on the current trend/times and situation. I watched Meena forgive karthik multiple times throughout the movie and was forced to reflect on the real life of women of current trends. Women are divorcing men who are teetotalers and who aren't asking for any dowry but just because they don't comply with their wishes these days and when i see this movie, it looks like a fairy tale without a doubt.
