Santa Baby is a rather well made little Christmas horror short.
The story revolves around a blood-soaked, hammer wielding, Santa Claus, who is out on the hunt for the naughtiest of this year's naughty.
On which he holds nothing back (other than his hammer)goes no holds barred...as he extracts his own bludgeoney brand of justice on those deemed naughty...whether they be grannies, or the mentally ill.
For an approximately 10 minute short film...it sure does contain a number of unexpected twists and turns.
And they sure don't hold back on the gore, either.
It's a low budget short, but one that's really well written.
With Zarin doing a competent job on the directorial front.
On top of this, they did an excellent job on casting...as each actor fits their role to perfection.
Little gems like this show you what can be done with a good team and a little imagination.
So it's certainly worth a watch, if you're looking for a short Christmas horror film to fill the void.
Makes me look forward to see what Zarin can do with an oppourtunity to work with a bit of a bigger budget in the future too.
Simple, yet effective.
A job well done, all around.
5.5 out 10.
