Impressive pilot, so far so good.

Thankfully it's not another Grey's Anatomy, Chicago Med, etc., nor your typical Hospital TV show. In fact, it's uniqueness and stellar performances by Hamza Haq and John Hannah kept me captivated.

I did however feel there was "too much" focus on racism - an not the real struggle, and I hope that fades away as the main focus of the show in coming episodes. There were some obvious plot and technical issues - why wouldn't he say he's looking for his sister to the cop from the start? What's up with Ayisha Issa's characters crappy attitude? Thus I hope the melodrama also gets toned down a bit by the writers so this show doesn't end up like another Grey's Anatomy or General Hospital.

The directing, cinematography and score were spot-on in creating and maintaining the tension. Casting was also great with convincible characters - unlike Saving Hope where some doctors looked 16 years old.

I'm certainly hooked to see where this show goes next, but as of now, this episode is a well deserved 8/10 from me.

Jury out....

This has potential, however the intensity of the first 10 minutes didnt flow through the rest of the episode. Will certainly watch this for another couple, but the show needs to concentrate on a single narrative, rather than racism, terrorism, hospital drama, personal drama and off other off shot story lines. Also... a certain Scottish / Canadian accent from a famous actor who appears..... it's really not that great.

Excellent Pilot! Very compelled to keep watching

This was a very strong start for a medical show and drama. The refuge angle is very interesting and the casting is excellent. It's hard to believe that there are only two nice or thankful people there for what the lead doc did! Everyone seems very jaded but as we get to know Bishop I'm guessing that will help explain the Seemingly morale and attitudes. I'm impressed! It's midnight and I really need to sleep but I'm really wanting to see what happens next! A plus Plus for casting and the actors, solid 9.5 for the story and the pilot.

This was an amazing first episode. I was literally glued to the tv. So well written and acting is superb. The writers have done a great job moving from scene to scene. Can't wait for more

Good plot, so far medically - inaccurate and overdramatized - like every other health series.

I was really hoping for this show to be a bit more realistic than the other health shows seen. As their major pitfalls are that the shows are overly dramatized, making it less realistic.

In particular, not sure how a man in blood, can run around the hospital without anyone taking notice, making it to the other floors; or how no one can even take care of this guy's wound injuries who's clearly covered in blood, yet a doctor can examine a well-alert, keen young woman who he's concerned for drug abuse.

I'll keep watching a few more episodes to see how it goes. I can understand the balance of dramatization but there has to be a line of realism too.

Warning: Spoilers
This pilot was not anything new had me asking questions like why was this guy the main character working in a restaurant why did the doctor who interview him just magically show up to eat there and not say anything and why didn't he just talk to the cop instead of avoiding him then going on to say the cop thinks he did it why didn't he apply at more hospitals or tell the staff he help save the injured i found this very annoying oh and i already hate Ayisha Issa he character is an ass if she doesn't get something also this show is the same as er greys anatomy and Chicago med and but i don't know if i can finish this didn't wow me like the others i don't see this show lasting to long
