I thought this episode was going to be Thorfinn vs Thorkill, given the last episode. But my expectations were subverted in a positive way! The main focus of this episode was on the meaning of love and the birth of King Canute. Top notch music and animation as well!

Masterpiece

This episode has everything: amazing fight scenes, great dialogues that show the most philosophical side of the characters and, as always, an amazing ost by the legendary Yutaka Yamada. This anime is too good to be real and it's rapidly becoming one of my favourites.

What's weird about this episode is that it's the most thought-provoking episode in the series , it depends on the viewers' understanding and analyzing of a beautifully and intelligently written dialogue, and yet at the same time, it presents an illogical,fast paced(in a bad way) and unjustified development of an important character, Canute . In real life words have power, but C'mon , how did Canute 's way of thinking and confidence change in a matter of minutes by some words a priest said to him.
It was like Canute:Love exits between humans Preist : no it doesn't,nobody loves anyone Canute:Yes you are right(personality changes 180°) I think that this episode is great, not a perfect 10, but certainly not under 9. One of the best/worst episodes in a truly brilliant anime.

Hey i don't want to say much but i am the kind of person who consider anime as a waste of time just sit and watch (naruto and one piece) but if you can trust me then please must watch this anime See, it's 100% worth your time and will change the way you look at people .
So please go and watch SEASON 2 of this (VINLAND SAGA) as well, something that makes you look inside yourself.
If there's anything in this life that's worth your time, I'd say it's definitely this.

The emptiness

I started this anime with good proposing because I like the genre,but then I suddenly understand the empty story that was created. The character are good built but they said silly things, made sentences that haven't a meaning. The king is crazy and the protagonist doesn't have a evolution for 20 episodes. Sorry for my english but this is one of the worst anime I ve ever seen.
