A lot happened in this episode and I love the wings.

Better than I expected

[6.8] Wings the size of pigeons

A better episode than the previous ones with a little more development, average to + acting, nice VFX and teenish fitting score.
The whole writing is dismal and it's a circus of a magic school and its mostly uninteresting disciples. The finale was just fitting to have a presumptuous second season full of the same nonsense.

Wasn't expecting it to get this dark

I had nothing to watch tbh and came to this expecting nothing. The season starts pretty slow but by the last episodes it becomes really interesting with some dark twists. The last scenes of this episode were totally unexpected to me, for a Winx bases show, but I'm so glad they did it. This show has big potential.
What an ending!

Netflix usually struggle with endings for Tv shows, such as Sabrina, however this show got the ending bang on the money. Although the show doesn't answer many of our questions, I do believe they will be answered in the coming seasons (hopefully). Overall, the ending just left me speechless.
Season 2 on its way
moviesfilmsreviewsinc24 July 2023
The show's rushed feel and contrived teen drama make it feel superficial and rushed. The Alicia/Bloom situation in episode 2 could have been longer, exploring their past and dealing with their magic. The teen romances suffer from the same issue, with rushed drama and tepid fall-outs. The plot suffers due to word building and ideas being rushed, bringing up contrivances and plot holes. The situation with phones and technology feels out of place, especially with only three teachers at Alfea. The show leaves the door open for a second season, with the promise of more to come. If renewed, the show may have ramifications for Bloom showing her powers to humans, but it's unclear what happens or how, which feeds back into the earlier idea of rushed world-building. In Episode 6 of Fate: The Winx Saga, Bloom channels her flames to Rosalind, who helps her channel her abilities. Aisha and Dowling find Bloom, but she is released and sent to the Stone Circle. Rosalind discovers that Aster Dell was a mistake, and she had Blood Witches kidnapped by them. Bloom was kidnapped by these witches, who wanted to use her magic. The Burned Ones, believing she has the power to stop them, have been after her for years. Stella and Aisha argue over Dowling's involvement, but their argument is interrupted by news that the Burned Ones have entered the school and are attacking students. Sam is injured, and Rosalind guides Bloom into using her powers. She promises to help find Bloom's birth parents, but she rushes back to help. She runs into Sky, who is unhappy with her drugging behavior. Dowling informs the students that Solarian troops are on the way, but they may need to attack the Burned Ones before then. Bloom reveals Rosalind's actions and the Burned Ones are after her. The Stone Circle, which serves as a conduit for the school's barrier, is working as a conduit for the magic. As more Burned Ones arrive, the barrier is failing. Sky learns about his father, Andreas, who was killed by Saul's blade in Aster Dell. The Burned Ones attack outside, and Terra and her Father try to save Sam's life. Terra leaves to find Musa with her headphones on, who has a change of heart and arrives to hold his hand through the pain. Bloom, with Aisha and Stella, uses her powers to destroy creatures like a phoenix, causing Terra and Musa to save Sam. Rosalind, who greets Beatrix, recruits Dane and Riven and unlocks ancient magic. Bloom speaks to Dowling, who forgives her for past actions and asks for a hug from the headmistress for her help in bringing her to safety. This moment marks a significant moment in their relationship, as Dowling struggles to hold back tears. Bloom returns home to her parents, where she conjures fire powers and demonstrates her abilities. The Solarian troops arrive at school, arresting Saul for the attempted murder of Andreas. Andreas reveals he is alive and leaves the door open for a second season. Dowling and Rosalind discuss a 1000-year-old legend about dragon flame, which is linked to the origin of the Burned Ones. Rosalind admits to allowing these cursed beings in and planting Beatrix at the school. Beatrix was previously working with Andreas, but was kept in hiding until Queen Luna and faculty members threaten to usurp Dowling and install Rosalind as headmistress.
Bloom, just why

Doesn't make sense

Warning: Spoilers
Character tropes were thrown away. Character developments were ruined because the characters' emotions lacked motivations. Like I couldn't see the friendship becoming real between Stella and others but they gave us "Terra misses her insults"
About charcters: there was this scene where Musa opens up about her mother and Terra hugs her and what? This tragedy came out of nowhere they always said her low spirits was because she was an empath but when we find out about this tragedy I expect there to be more layers in it. I undestand its motivation to help Sam but the way they used it is like a joke to me.
Rosalind is an awful character. Her outfit is utterly stupid to begin with. The way she treats Bloom and how she just stands throughout the episode was unbearable to watch.
I can't even find words for Sky and Bloom, they are both miserable. Sky has no purpose other than serving his role as Bloom's love interest and his father relationships are only good thing about his character and but his actions towards his feelings are foolish and he doesn't show any charcter development at all.
Bloom's big awakening. I mean there was literally no hype. First of all, the build up for that 'big' battle against Burned Ones is lame. They lock down themselves inside and just standlike fools even when a Burned One attacks, Farah just stands. And there was this important topic that was said: Burned Ones are after Bloom. Bloom literally tells this and she agrees and then she walks away like wtf? Theyare after Bloom so why are you not creating a plan according to that rather than endangering everyone else? Bloom just sneaks away without her realizing it. And finally the scene comes but there is no motivation other than some cheap explanations. Aisha creates a wall of water which disappears right away, Bloom transforms. She kills the Burned Ones which is awesome since its her first time doing it but she is a pro instantly with no elemental development other than same concept they use until her transformation, straightly knows how to attack agains this ancient creatures. And they die. After that they don't even pay attention to the real corpses. Happy ending. Instant sisters, sleepovers in the other world. I don't even talk about Bloom's unreasonable temper and teen anger and selfishness which all make her the worst protagonist and releasing Rosalind who had stupid impact on the plot. There was nothing that made sense about her plan and how she executes it. Again, the only reason she is able to do things is because thats how the plot is?!
Sky's father 😫

Good Potential but Too Little Substance
ScottLentz24 January 2021
Started off well with the first episode. I appreciated that it didn't dwell too much on backstory/origin and got right into it. Exposition was also done well at first. As it went on, it abandoned all world-building and fell into a plot-heavy mess of back-and-forth cliché teen drama and flat character development. There are still a lot of elements to draw from that I hope they explore if there are future seasons, but the potential is limited by lack of quality writing.
Very anticlimactic finale
