Series starting to go downhill around this point

I'm writing this after having viewed series 2 and looking back and when the whole thing just started to fall apart. It was either at the end of this episode or perhaps at the start of the next episode.

Anyway, at some point we learn that Anita has been living in the house she "inherited" from her deceased parents but that she didn't actually "inherit" it as nobody had bothered to see if there was a will let alone probate it. Now I acknowledge that laws in different countries are not perhaps what I am used to (and I've lived in 4 different countries!) but it's pretty much standard that when somebody dies that somebody notices in government and starts wondering about little things like how a dead person can still be owning a house. Just saying. Is it realistic to believe that Anita could have gone living in the house for a full 15 years (I think that was the figure) without anybody at any time noting that the person listed as the owner on the property register for the city was dead? Like I said, I'm not legal expert but intuitively I would have said NO, it can't happen.

Let alone the other little matter about relatives not caring when the parents died and then suddenly 15 years later showing up and making an issue of it. Okay, maybe there is a bit of flakiness involved but, I'm sorry, my wife and I didn't buy any of it.

And I'm afraid when we took into consideration a few of the other things going on in this series (the fertility/parenting issue not really being handled the way one would have expected in "the real world" where I live just to name one), and we really felt, like others, that this series just was nowhere near as good as series 1.

I wish I could say good things about what happens from this episode on but frankly it just got worse and worse and we were pleased when the end of the series mercifully got closer and closer.
