Brilliant

Amazing documentary of one of the greatest football sides ever, with a tragic ending. That side should have dominated English football for years, and when the TV money arrived with the premier league era, Everton were bigger and more successful than Man Utd, but for the criminal and horrific actions of Liverpool fans at Heysel stadium, 1985.

And if you know your history......

The younger generation, especially from the beginning of the premier league era onwards, don't know what a great football team Everton was & this video shows some of the best moments, during the 1980's, when the most successful Everton team in history, won the FA Cup, the League Championship & the European Cup Winners Cup, managed by Howard Kendall, who was a former player too, this is an absolute 'must see' for any footy fan, superbly produced & directed by Rob Sloman!

I'm not an Everton fan and followed my Home city side Leeds United and Liverpool in the 1980's, but I'm a fan of great sides and this team Howard Kendal managed in the 1980's was the best side in England in that short period in the early part of that decade, a funny, touching and poignant watch and well worth it if you love a good sports documentary

Captures everything about being an Evertonian.

I was lucky enough to meet Howard and others in a well known Indian restaurant in the outskirts of Sheffield. Was a true gentleman, when I approached him as an Evertonian he couldn't spend enough time with me talking about the magnificent 80's. Absolute legend as player, manager and more importantly as a person. You just need to look at how players over recent years hold him in high esteem. Big Dunc included.
