Pawandeep – Team Shaan
The second week of The Voice India opened with a quick recap of the first week; showing the contestants that had been selected and also the coaches expectations from the singers.
The first contestant of Saturday’s show was Boston born Nalini Krishnan. Nalini is 21 years old and is born and bought up in Boston, USA. She is studying music and wants to be a singer/music director. Nalini sang ‘Jallah Wallah’ from Ishaqzaade. The coaches were extremely impressed by Nalini’s performance. Coach Hr was the first to hit the buzzer, followed very closely by coaches Mika and then Shaan. Coach Sunidhi did not hit the buzzer. After much comic grovling (!) and pleading from the coaches, Nalini chose our favourite coach Hr, and is the third contestant to join Team Himesh.
The second contestant was Sayan Chaudhary. Sayan sang the popular song ‘Har Kisi Ko Nahin Milta’ from Boss.

This weekend’s Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa opened on a serious note and it proved to be a turning point for the existing contestants of the show. Saturday’s show opened with rehearsal footage of existing contestants. All the contestants were called on stage and the two unsafe contestants who would be in the face-off this week, would be announced.
Sreesanth and Puja were the two unsafe contestants. Puja was disappointed to be in the face-off once again.
For the first time, the face-off happened at the beginning of the show. Puja and Rajat were the first to perform. Their chosen dance style was Freestyle, and they performed to the song ‘Teri Meri Prem Kahani’ from Bodyguard. Their prop was a picture frame. All the acts would be featuring a prop this week as this was the theme. As always, Puja’s scores were saved and would be revealed after Sreesanth performed.

It is a known fact that the word ‘Bollywood’ is synonymous with emotions, drama, fantasy, colour, music, glitz, glamour and much more. Music per say has been an integral part of Hindi cinema ever since the inception of sound films in India.
Many would agree that songs and background music form the essence of many scripts. Thus, musicals have been a favourite among Bollywood audiences for several decades. Great stories woven together with spectacular music can make people cry or smile. Such is the power of the art of sounds.
Whenever we speak of Hindi films celebrated for their excellence in music, the classic love triangle, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, by Sanjay Leela Bhansali is definitely remembered.
Even today, the 1999 blockbuster is lauded for showcasing sheer brilliance in all aspects of filmmaking whether it is acting, cinematography or direction. What also catches the attention of cinemagoers is undisputedly its evergreen soul stirring musical score.

Our leading ladies and item girls will be nowhere near half as attractive without the talented singers that voice their musical numbers. What’s more, while our cinematic experiences with our on-screen goddesses have a time limit, our playback goddesses are always with us in iPods, tablets, computers, radios and more. This year Bollyspice salutes the 10 female playback singers who astounded us with their vocals throughout the year.

Ms, Bhasin (of ‘Viva!’ and ‘Kuch Khaas’ (Fashion) fame) epitomised the image of a Punjabi rock chick and commanded a nation to rock and roll with her in ‘Dhunki’ (Mere Brother Ki Dulhan). While Katrina Kaif may/may not have done justice to her vocalisations, Neha sure did make a place for herself in our hearts and on this list.
9. Nandani Srikar
Ms. Srikar successfully vocalised a classical indian/rock fusion with ‘Bhare Naina’ (Ra.One) this year and proved that...

Just days after announcing her entry into production, Eesha Koppikhar is leaving no stone unturned to make Shabri 2 a cult film. Eesha, who had earlier expressed her dissatisfaction with the way Shabri was promoted and marketed, feels that the film had the potential to become a trend-setter and now is taking no chances with its sequel. Sources close to the project claim that the actress has been having several creative discussions with director Lalit Marathe about the setting and feel of the film. At one such meeting, both Eesha and Lalit Marathe came to the conclusion that Shabri 2 would require Eesha to essay a double role. The script came to a point where Lalit felt that Eesha would be required to play a double role to intensify the film's proceedings. Eesha seemed to have loved the idea and immediately agreed to the suggestion. Eesha who has done a variety of...

Someone somewhere has jumped the gun rather badly. Not only have there been announcements in sections of the media about a sequel to the fairly successful spook story 13 B, there's also talk of two sequels with the titles 13 C and 13 D. But the 13 B leading man Madhavan is clueless about these sequels. ''We did 13 B and that was a great experience. A sequel would depend entirely on whether we have a suitable script or not. We aren't jumping on the sequel bandwagon just because it's the done thing right now. Doesn't take long for the done thing to become the dumb thing.'' Maddy has thought of an ingenious method of getting a sequel out of the imagination. He has decided to take his 13 B director Vikram Kumar on all all-expenses paid holiday. ''I'm taking Vikram to the Middle East. Just me and him. Two boys doing all the rugged...
