Who's the daddy.

This was a bold movie for the 80s . Mohan is a versatile actor . he has played all roles easily - villain , hero , comedy , tragedy .Here he is the rich play boy care free and nonchalant . He sees Poornima - a simple middle class girl , the daughter of a high court clerk and falls for her. He runs after her, joins her typing institute to woo her . at first she rejects him but later falls for his charms and really thinks he loves her. He promises to marry her . he takes her to a beach and on the pretext of being very late night to a hotel , then seduces her. Later when Poornima realises that she is pregnant he ditches her saying she is just one of his conquests . She turns to lady lawyer Sujatha and both fight in court with Mohan and his equally arrogant father ( another lawyer ) . She is finally able to prove that he is indeed the father of her child . In the end they show Poornima's 6 year old son wining many gold medals in school while Mohan and his new wife remain childless. Both Mohan and Poornima are good actors and have acted well. Mohan is likeable even as a villain. The ending where She refuses to marry him despite proving his paternity is something unique and a brave decision on her part.
