The Gamblers

This episode was a huge lift from last week's, the comedy was in the right place and didn't affect the story. The story itself had a decent amount of depth and emotional understanding.

I liked the amount of realism to the affect of humans finding supernatural powers and using it for life and financial gain. When luck eventually runs out it can be fatal, not once did i find these examples in anyway cheesy, the episide showed them right with a decent amount of clarity.

Castiel back to playing solo detective again didn't bother me either, it kept me on my toes and showed the main plot still at play, no filler here this was the real deal.

Overall i really enjoyed this one, i think it had the correct amount of tone and clarity while keeping that little bit of Supernatural comedy we all like too, one being Dean's ego, that never gets old.

Good episode

A solid and creative episode. The Winchesters have a chance to win some luck in a rare game of pool. Good writing at work here with this concept. Also interesting explanation of how these kind of gods came into being. A decent climax in the end. Also Jack is back and thinks he can kill Chuck. Some good build up over here. Look forward to more. 8/10

Warning: Spoilers
When i saw the plot summary of this episode i thought it was gonna be some sort of a filler episode, BUT It wasn't! So much has happened in this episode (good stuff) great episode and it really has some memorable moments! like when the cop mentioned to Cass something about Jack, Cass' heart has literally melted and i really felt the same, or when Jack met the boys again. I am really enjoying this final season.

Different mystery

I really liked the lucky place, it was intriguing and we got a good piece of supernatural lore. Castiel's story was fine...the main adversary being God makes things...strange. It's a solid episode .

Yay! Finally a new "monster" this season.
sloopnp24 June 2020
With the first four episodes this season featuring ghosts, vampires and werewolves, I was scared they ran out of ideas for unique adversaries. I'm bored with those same monsters. They finally came up with a new one. Good episode.

Did they seriously DRIVE all the way to Alaska? I've always wanted to do that. I wonder how many miles Baby has by now.

"Don't play his game. Make him play your game."

Warning: Spoilers
This may be the best episode we've had all season. For one thing, it was consistent in quality all the way through. It had a very clear job to do and it did it. "Casino that traps gamblers and the heroes break them free" is a trope we've seen a lot and I don't always enjoy it but I did like this. It managed to be that and also finally feel like we have the actual Winchesters back. They tried to kill things and save people and I guess one out of two ain't bad.

The direction, cinematography and set design were all smooth and even the music was thematically appropriate throughout the episode without any of the weird choices we've seen recently.

Sam and Dean rooting for each other playing pool was good. This episode hit all the right emotional notes for me. I didn't expect to be sad about the cowboy but I am and all the other little minor characters worked for me too.

I'm glad they gave us an explanation for Billie keeping Jack on hold in the Empty, I'm glad Castiel got his son back, and I think it's unintentionally hilarious that the Winchesters barely batted an eye at him being back because at this point yeah, they should be more surprised if someone didn't come back from the dead.

Season 15 keeps getting better

Really good episode. The explanation of the creation of the 'pagan Gods' is really clever and I loved it. Like it how the episode ended, the resolution of them getting back their 'mojo' was really good.

I don´t know where they are going with Sam coming back.... but we will have to wait. They will be surprises for sure... because it's not like they just can kill God without having consecuences

One of the more political episodes of "Supernatural."

What if someone's skimming off the top?" I see lots of symbolic Trumpublican vs what is right in this episode. I'm not teaching a class right now, so I'll let you investigate that perspective on your own. Let us know what you see.
