This episode was a huge lift from last week's, the comedy was in the right place and didn't affect the story. The story itself had a decent amount of depth and emotional understanding.
I liked the amount of realism to the affect of humans finding supernatural powers and using it for life and financial gain. When luck eventually runs out it can be fatal, not once did i find these examples in anyway cheesy, the episide showed them right with a decent amount of clarity.
Castiel back to playing solo detective again didn't bother me either, it kept me on my toes and showed the main plot still at play, no filler here this was the real deal.
Overall i really enjoyed this one, i think it had the correct amount of tone and clarity while keeping that little bit of Supernatural comedy we all like too, one being Dean's ego, that never gets old.
