I am a U. S. NAVY Vietnam Veteran, 1967 and 1968. I lost many comrades when I was there. I want to THANK YOU for your OUTSTANDING TRIBUTE to those who have, through our turbulent and peaceful times, given their lives in support and defense of our NATION. It covered military support services that many may have never heard of. I am also so glad that it included the U. S. COAST GUARD, which is usually not included in this type of article. Many people do not understand or appreciate this branch of Service. We can NEVER show enough appreciation for these NATIONAL HEROES!!!! I salute each and every service member, past and present who have put their lives on the line and to those who have given their lives in support of our nation.
