Unpredictable was curiously predictable once the episode's primary guest star was introduced...then she was annoying. Yes, writers like to introduce conflict (a.k.a. the personal crisis) so that our characters have something to overcome in order to entertain us, but when this is done well, we at least get to enjoy the ride. The Eureka-style town-crisis to overcome was pretty plain vanilla - not bad but not stellar, and the episode would garner a lower rating except that Carter's final bit of town-crisis resolution was some terrific physical comedy (and delivered with much snarky-humor as well). On a binge of the series, you can't really skip this one, but they can do better.
