The Ancien Regime

A French sex starlet gets all prudish and refused to film sex scenes for her new movie. Journalists from the Daily News discover that her new suitor in a fancy limousine is actually a former Latin American dictator.

This is just the kind of story tailor made for the newspaper. Although Lytton was in a spot of bother in the previous episode for handling stolen goods, a photo stolen from a judge's house. He withstood the pressure from the police and the newspaper's lawyer tells him nothing would come of it.

It does not stop the paper's journalists using blag techniques to get to a story. One of them pretending to source an American limo for singer George Michael.

John Hallam plays the former dictator, he looks deliciously evil but his accents wavers a bit.

Meanwhile Lytton is offered a promotion but it is the kind the wily old editor thinks Lytoon is ill suited for.

Again another story that makes out Lytton to be a good hearted crusader. He does not want to upset the editor and a former despot is bagged.
