I was but a mere sprog when Head over Heels came out and though I really enjoyed it I question whether I was too young to really enjoy it. Thanks to emulators I've revisited this retro title and can confidently say it's great.
The plot is very bizarre and certainly not what you'd take away from the game. What you would is it's style and great playability, I was engrossed.
Done in a fixed angle monochrome style alike a few games from this time you navigate each room trying to get to the exit by solving simple puzzles and defeating basic (Though highly interesting) enemies.
Head over Heels is the poster child for the term "They don't make them like they used to" though I really do wish they would.
The Good:
Stylish
Charming
The Bad:
Limited in content
I never did appreciate the plot
