A predictable plot and subplot is lifted by great jokes and dialogue.

Warning: Spoilers
I am a bit biased, maybe, because violet is one of my favorite characters, but i think her presence alone saved this episode. My general thoughts are that it's a bit boring, but the character dynamics carry it enough to where it's rewatchable every now and then. Not terrible, but not the best of the season by far.
I love huey, but i think this ep would have fared better mid season. I understand his arc had to be rushed a bit to make room for webby's, but this episode felt very quick development wise. I think it would have made much more sense to push this episode back to give him more room to grow first.
Overall, it felt a little bland to me. It's always nice to see violet and the rest of the sabrewings (yes !! Including lena ! I love seeing her a part of their family), but the humor felt weak and i found myself struggling not to tune out everything past the beginning because the episode in itself felt a bit predictable-character who can't stand failure has to come face to face with losing in a comfort setting, is shown at the end that failure isn't so bad, yay, etc. I understand why it was important to show this part of huey's character, but i wish it had been less ... on the nose ? Writing a show is super hard, so i get it ! But those are just my thoughts.
The twist at the end where launchpad shows huey all of his failure badges is super sweet ! I wish the sort of uncle-nephew relationship they were development could have been seen a little more in the series, but again, time restrictions, i totally get it.
Overall, it's really not the worst episode ! I found it to be a bit boring and cliche, and i felt it waste a lot of potential development we could've seen from huey otherwise that wasn't crammed into one episode like this.
