A remake of Hindi movie Shor . Mohan and Nalini get married despite opposition from her family . They start leading a happy simple life . Their daughter Baby Shalini is a chatter box and the apple of their eyes . Nalini dies in one unfortunate accident and Shalini loses her voice . Mohan is working as a labourer in a heavy machinery factory . He works very hard , pools a lot of money to get her operated . In the end when she gets her voice he loses his hearing in an accident and is unable to hear his own daughter .A poignant movie . Manorama is a delight in any role . Here she plays the liquor den owner . Radhika is a street monger , Mohan saves her form Nizalgal Ravi once and she becomes his wife later .
