I knew Abigail's strength last week was too good to last.
I'd love to see the women of Salem be strong and independent, partnered up with people who are their equals. But given Days of Our Lives' track record recently, that's really a pipe dream.
This week, Abigail turned out to have left Chad not because she wants to live life on her own terms but because relationships aren't like in the movies, where love is enough and you don't have to bother to put any work into it.
Meanwhile, Lani was forced to drink and woke up on a park bench with no memory of what happened to her, but somehow it never dawned on anybody that that was exactly what happened to Jj that they've all been shaming him mercilessly for.
And Nicole and Brady became victims of yet another random act of violence when Xander broke...

Abigail decided to leave her husband because of an inscription in an old high school yearbook, Jade told Claire to make a sex tape to get her songs more attention, and Julie faked a heart attack to get back at Gabi on Days of Our Lives.
Our TV Fanatics Jack Ori and Christine Orlando are joined by Tony and Fluffysmom from MyHourglass a Days of Our Lives fan forum to debate Julie’s nonsense, Abigail’s strange logic, and the most disappointing storyline in Salem.
On a scale of 1(protective grandmother), 5 (annoying busybody), to 10 (horrible witch), how would you rate Julie?
Fluffysmom: I’m giving Julie a 9 for faking a heart attack to try to keep Eli away from Gabi. What if Doug had suffered an actual medical emergency when he received the call about Julie?
Jack: About a 7. Julie is way too much in other people's business, yet I...

I want so badly to be hopeful about Days of Our Lives.
For months, the show has been nothing but a cesspool of misogyny, with rape and sexual assault treated as plot points and weak women clinging to a man for protection.
During the week of 4-17, Abigail declared her independence and told her mother that she didn't want anyone to find a job for her or take care of her. If only there hadn't been massive problems with the storyline up to this point, I might trust this.
But Abigail didn't leave Chad because she realized she was expected to play the dutiful housewife. She left Chad because she found out that Gabi wrote something meaningful in his high school yearbook 10 or more years ago.
Being on her own seems to be filler until she either gets with Dario or gets back with Chad, and that really cheapens the strength she displayed.

Nicole decides to give in to Scooter’s sleazy demands, Rafe arrests his father, and Abigail dumps Chad at the altar during their vow renewal ceremony on Days of Our Lives.
TV Fanatic Christine Orlando is joined by Trey and Sportsgirl from MyHourglass a Days of Our Lives fan forum to debate Abby’s decision to set Chad free, Nicole’s real plan for Scooter, and Julie and Kate’s interference in other people’s lives in Salem.
Julie thinks Eli should ditch Gabi. Kate thinks Chad should dump Abby. Do either of them have a point or should they learn to mind their own business?
Jack: I don't like Gabi, so I'm inclined to agree with Julie, but really she should know better. Harping about it didn't get her anywhere when Jj was dating Gabi and she shouldn't expect it to work better now.
And Kate is totally ridiculous.

Someone crashing their rival's wedding to try to sweep the bride off her feet is a soap opera staple.
Bo and Jack both did it in grand, dramatic fashions that have become classic Days of Our Lives clips.
Chad interrupted Gabi and Nick's wedding to reveal that Nick wasn't the father of Gabi's baby and chaos ensued.
All of these were great, soapy moments. But the nonsense over Abigail and Chad's vow renewal ceremony that went on almost all week wasn't.
From the second Abigail decided to renew her vows, a ton of contrived drama took over the entire show.
Kate decided that Chad belonged with Gabi and made sure to tell everyone she ran across, especially Abigail and Gabi.
Gabi tried to act like she had some morals and refused to go after Chad only because Abigail was her friend.
Abby and Gabi tried not being friends for about five seconds,...

Scooter got skeavey with Nicole, Deimos decided to take out the competition in a while new way, both Gabi and Ciara hit the dating scene in Salem.
Our TV Fanatics Jack Ori and Christine Orlando are joined by WendyLou from MyHourglass a Days of Our Lives fan forum to debate whether Gabi should date Eli, who needs to take out Deimos, and how Nicole should get rid of Scooter on Days of Our Lives.
Should Gabi date Eli, even though he’s an FBI agent?
WendyLou: Yes. They are cute together and she needs to move on from Chad. She should at least give him a chance.
Also, if she dates him it might help keep him out of Lani's orbit. The writing's on the wall and their insta-hate is a clear prelude to either sex or love. He's one of the few newcomers I like and I'd hate to...

Question: It’s been too long since you’ve had anything on Bones. With the show about to return, what can you tease about it? —Cassidy
Ausiello: Booth and Brennan are going incognito again, and the setting for their covert mission sounds Lol hilarious. “They are going to be undercover at a crossword puzzle tournament,” reveals exec producer Stephen Nathan, who hints that they will be taking on new aliases this time around. “That remains to be seen,...

Cal (Tim Roth) and Ria (Monica Raymund) are on the case of a female soldier, Lake (Alice Lagano) who accuses her commanding officer, Sgt Scott (David Anders) of sexually assaulting her. Immediately it's apparent there's plenty to lie about in this episode, giving the intrepid team lots to ponder and explain in terms of body language and face contortions. Or just plain face pulling to the rest of us. One major attraction of this show is that people lie: be they politicians, lawyers, celebs, so it's fun to see them squirm and have their behaviour explained. Especially as when they make an expression they don't really notice they're doing something wrong, or are hiding something. They seem to think their behaviour goes unnoticed. But lies are always found out, which is why it's great to see it in action. Cal and Ria question Lake and her facial expressions, body language,...
