Borderline fraudulent
lor_1 October 2018
Candidate for a 'worst of Vivid Video' contest, this horrible DVD is the work of two of the label's worst filmmakers: producer Shylar Cobi and director B. Skow. Like many a deficient porno film, it substitutes the "plan to make porn" for an actual story.

So we have contract star Cassidey (alternatively called Bob or Bobbi here, perhaps her real name or nickname) phoning in sick so she can fill in for a girlfriend as manager of a sleazy motel. Her boss, Shylar Cobi more or less playing himself -as the borderline between "reality" and fiction here is as tenuous as any of those so-called Reality TV shows - is unhappy because she's due on set and he's rented a motel/restaurant for the shoot. Guess what - it's the same Wagon Wheel motel (and restaurant) that Cassidey is manning the front desk at.

She is extremely bored whiling away the time at the front desk, a sentiment I shared trying to watch her nothing video. Cobi is so shameless in his approach to filmmaking that he inserts one of the lengthy sex scenes as merely one Cassidey is watching on her TV set (from a VHS videocassette no less) featuring Jay Huntington and Brooke Banner, newly shot footage it turns out rather than mere archive footage.

After several other dumb sex scenes, including a very poorly staged motel holdup in which the bad guys lock Cassidey away in the closet, Cobi and his porn movie crew arrive at the place and start shooting, quite annoyed that Cassidey hasn't shown up yet. Eventually she's freed from the closet in time to head to makeup and shoot her scene for hambone (in his actor's guise) Shylar.

One of the robbers, Brick Majors takes time out to have sex with Latina actress Cassandra Cruz, shot in what looks like a laundromat or perhaps just the laundry room at the actual motel that Shylar actually rented for the Vivid shoot. This is entirely a case of filler porn, passed off a decade ago as a new Vivid release for gullible fans; fortunately Vivid has moved out of the DVD business in recent years, saving us fans from more sludge at this bargain-basement level.

And when Evan Stone shows up at the Wagon Wheel as star of the Cobi production, be prepared for truly mindless improvised patter between him and Shylar, both of whom think they're funny.
