September, 1910 Thomas and Sarah give up their failing Business at the Garage and leave Madge who gets married to purchase a conjuring trick called; 'The Lady Vanishes'.
This is the first of a string of ventures the couple undertake that fail miserably, but this one fails quite uniquely, in that it never even gets off the ground...
Having purchased the Act from a retiring Magician; before they can even put it on the Stage, they realise that they have been 'cheated', as the wife of the said Magician did not give her consent when the trick was sold, and as she was part owner, forms a new partnership with her lover.
