Ada has employed a new cleaning lady at The Cafe, Mrs Gannett, but nobody is impressed with her cleaning skills, or her nosiness, Georgie hatches a plan to get rid of her, once and for all.
It's slow, at times painfully slow, but it does get funnier, and the ending is well thought out, and pretty funny. I do like Mrs Gannett.
One thing worth pointing out, it looks and feels like a totally different show, it's a shame they didn't just call it Alf and Ada, it's so detached from the early years.
Well, it does make a nice change to see Ada outgunned and outsmarted in the battle of the battle axes, Hazel Coppen is delightful as the lazy and clueless Mrs Gannett, a real shame the one episode of The Avengers she appeared in is lost, it sounds a riot.
6/10.
