When Alf thinks that Eddie's education is somewhat lacking, he insists on evening classes, his teacher Prunella, thinks Eddie would benefit from some learning books at home, Alf and Ada take the opportunity to broaden their own general knowledge.
Definitely a few funny moments here, poor Eddie, things were never going to end well for him. Perhaps not one of the classic episodes, but seeing Alf and Ada sniping at one another in a more educated fashion was funny.
It was funny to see the family sitting down to an ATV programme.
If you've ever seen Dear John, Sheila Manahan who played Prunella here, played Kirk's mum in quite a memorable episode.
People can easily condemn advancements in technology, Google etc, but when you consider what the alternative used to be, thirty six volumes of encyclopedias, that would have taken up half the living room space.
6/10.
