Warning: Spoilers
A Mr. Hurley who is backing a ballet production has an unusual job for McGraw. Hurley wants McGraw to romance his girlfriend Elaine and take her to Bermuda. McGraw passes on the job but before he leaves the theater, the lead ballerina, Martha, is hurt and her boyfriend Robert is suspected. McGraw and Robert are on their way to the police when someone takes a potshot at Robert with a gun that is later found to be owned by Hurley and loaded with blanks. When McGraw interviews Hurley's girlfriend she tells him that Hurley always ships her off to Bermuda when he finds a new talent; in this case the new talent is Martha. As with most half hour detective stories, there is often the flaw of too few suspects and that is the case here. It also is just not a very snappy episode so while certainly watchable, it just isn't among the best that I have seen. That said, it was interesting to see Hans Conreid as the choreographer Kryloff and to learn that Joyce Vanderveen who played Martha, was a ballerina in Nazi occupied Amsterdam and was evidently much admired by Anne Frank.
