Patrick is made up to see his brother Michael, who's recently been ordained, and is at The local Church. The Bishop turns up unexpectedly for a visit, but an accident sees Michael sidelined, an unsuitable replacement stands in for Michael.
I loved the earlier Saville Row episode, I think I'd have to rank that and this one as joint favourites from series three. This is a very, very funny end to the series, plenty of laugh out loud moments.
Funny throughout, that scene where Manny appears in front of The Bishop, just too funny. I've read of a few reviews seeming the show as offensive, but I don't see that, I see it more as a coming together of different faiths.
Interestingly enough, the year this went out, 1969, is the same year that Dad's Army first launched on TV screens, Frank Williams, an actor destined to play men of The Cloth appeared here as a Priest and of course in Dad's Army as a Vicar.
8/10.
