Excellent latter-day Damiano video

Switching from 35mm film to shooting on video later in his career, Italian maestro Luca Damiano nevertheless delivers the goods with THE THIEF OF HEARTS. It is sexually stimulating and glamorously mounted, pun intended.

Presented in the original Italian version without subtitles for American audiences there is not much lost in non-translation, since it's all about the sex. Very loose adaptation of the classic RAFFLES style story of thief ARSENE LUPIN, this tale has Karim cast as an irresistible jewel thief, with plenty of Euro babes anxious to sample his wares.

Principal among them is Laura Angel, styled in absolutely ravishing fashion by Luca. Even when she's doing various dirty things she still looks like a billion lire (I guess a million euros now), and it is the attention to detail, right down to body makeup, hair styling and of course fabulous jewels as accoutrements, that sets this apart from so many slapdash videos. Beyond Angel, the rest of the femme cast is up to snuff too.

The old saw goes "they don't make 'em like this anymore" and it's true of ARSENIO LUPIN, even amongst just video porn production. In the decade since this was shot, Karim has been featured in hundreds of videos but they're nearly all generic ephemera, ranging from "Sex with Young Girls 7" to "Big Natural Tits 14" and "Aprentass 10". He's gotta make a living, but what a comedown.

Another late night discovery on TV, probably with her movie « Lingerie ». It was good luck because you can see immediately that Laura had an extraordinary sex-appeal and still today, she stays on the top of European Adult actress ! She looks a bit like Belluci, tall, dark hairs, great curves but unlike her, she has temperament and dynamism. In addition, she is highly skilled in the art of love and really looks for her partner ! I like the way she uses her tongue to clean the tool and she just excels in sodomy ! The only regret i feel is that as she is too much, it's the kind of woman which is simply out of reach for an ordinary guy like me. So, in a way, she fails to be the ultimate babe because i can't connect with her as much as more casual, ordinary girls (Jenteal, Haven). To put things in other words, i can't imagine Laura younger, going to high school, university because she appears to be this imposing lady at once.

As for this movie, i have watched it on TV too. Laura is totally convincing here all the more than she had a scene with her great black buddy. The originality of this is that it feels old and dusty as it's set in the Belle Epoque period like « Titanic ». Sure, here, the production is stony broke: the suits are a bit ridiculous and the sets are limited to three : a showroom and two rooms. Except Laura, it's a pity that the other girls lack terribly of charm. However the action is thrilling (especially when Laura gets sodomized) and the ending is a funny illustration of the maxim « it's a biter bit ».
