Quentin and Barnabas tell Daphne she must leave town. Later Quentin and Daphne drink a toast, they both collapse and Gerard appears. Later Julia and Barnabas find Daphne unconscious and Quentin missing.
Carolyn, in a trance, comes downstairs dressed in black. She tells Barnabas there will be funeral tonight. He thinks it may be Quentin.
In the graveyard, Gerard gives Quentin a shovel to dig a grave. Suddenly Quentin starts thinking like the 1840 Quentin.
At Collinwood, Daphne gets weaker and Carolyn says Gerard will wave the green flag.
