You know what would be cool? Justin Bieber thought. If we put together an acoustic version of "Sorry," because that's kind of my thing now! Okay, yeah, but you know what would be even cooler? someone else, but also maybe Bieber, thought. If we did that and prefaced it with the squad doing an interview about how the song came together! Wait, wait, wait — even cooler yet: We do all that ... while riding those trendy self-balancing scooters and trying to knock each other off! Mission accomplished. It might not be the most relatable bro-sesh, but here's Bieber, Skrillex, and Blood Diamonds doing all that — plus more in the form of skating and a brief vocal masterclass: Purpose, Bieber's latest album, features "Sorry" and comes out November 13. He should probably try to create a Celebrity X Games competition sometime thereafter.

Each week I find myself writing about how much I hate performance-driven music videos but present you with an exception. I think it’s time to admit defeat and realise that there is actually a large population of artists and music video directors who can get creative and pull them off. Although I feel a little foolish for having this initial hatred for them I am also thrilled to see a number of videos surprising me each week as well as what feels like a sudden influx of them. It’s great to see that all hope hasn’t been lost just yet. I can’t believe I even included a video which features both Jessie J and Nicki Minaj (I have nothing against Ariana Grande, yet). There’s just something really empowering about watching an all female ensemble come together and celebrate different kinds of femininity and female sexuality simultaneously.

"Castle" went back to the fun kind of murder in the most recent episode, "A Murder Is Forever." Yes, it was sad that a successful therapist and best-selling author got killed. But most of the episode's plot revolved around Castle and Beckett coming to an agreement on their new living arrangements.
Also, there was an incredibly big diamond. What's more fun than that?
Linus the Lion does not approve
Beckett doesn't like Castle's lion. And, believe it or not, that's not a euphemism. He actually has a lion hanging on the wall of his bedroom. This lion is Linus, a regal killer whose photo Castle bought with the proceeds from his very first royalty check.
Castle loves Linus. But Beckett finds the creature kind of creepy. Can a lion break up the couple?
No, of course not. Although there's some friendly bickering throughout the episode, Castle eventually takes Linus off...

Half of a Yellow Sun
Written and directed by Biyi Bandele
Nigeria/UK, 2013
Every few years, a film with a variation on this plot comes around: “Social strife is happening in x African country. The story is being told through the eyes of x, whose private life is changed forever in the face of a country crumbling around him.” You know these films. They’re your Blood Diamonds, Hotel Rwandas, and Last King of Scotlands. When Half of a Yellow Sun was announced for this year’s Tiff lineup, it promised to be a fresh take on this genre. The film is directed and written for the screen by an actual African person, Nigerian-born filmmaker Biyi Bandele, and for once stars women in the role of the protagonists. Unfortunately the film does not deliver much to set it apart from its precursors except perhaps Chiwetel Ejiofor’s second-most anticipated performance of the year.

Getting Engaged? Consider proposing to your blushing bride with an eco friendly diamond from Brilliant Earth. It will make Leonardo DiCaprio very happy. If you have not had your head in the sand the past 10 years, you have probably heard the term Blood Diamonds. The true history of the blood diamond scandal was told in a film adaptation starring green celebrity Leonardo DiCaprio. Earlier this year, Naomi Campbell took the stand in a blood diamonds trial and actress Mia Farrow did all but accuse her of lying under oath when she took the stand (creating quite the Hollywood celebrity scandal). Why run the risk of buying a blood diamond when there are fair trade labor and eco friendly diamonds available from companies like Brilliant Earth? Visit the official home page of the eco friendly diamond company: Brilliant Earth sells Eco Friendly Diamonds

Bar Refaeli stripped down to her ridiculous pink bikini this weekend -- to romp around the deck of a super-expensive yacht off the coast of Costa Smeralda ... but she wasn't the only supermodel on board. Fresh from testifying at a war crimes trial -- alleged blood diamond recipient Naomi Campbell and her boyfriend Russian businessman Vladislav Doronin were also on the yacht ... along with Bar's main squeeze Leonardo DiCaprio . Fun fact: Leo starred in the...

What war-crimes tribunal? Naomi Campbell has jet-setting to do. Thanks to the appearance of Campbell as a witness, the Un tribunal of former Liberian president Charles Taylor has gained notoriety, and it was the scene of another conflict Tuesday when Taylor's lawyer accused the supermodel's former agent of presenting a "complete pack of lies" in her testimony. Defending what she'd said, ex-agent for Campbell Carole White repeated allegations that the model received diamonds from Taylor after a dinner in South Africa in 1997. While Campbell's testimony was being disputed and defended, a newspaper in Sardinia off the coast of Italy, L'Unione Sarda,...

Bling is once again in the news. Blood diamonds, of course, and the stories are all the more sensational for featuring a supermodel and one of the world's most heinous leaders. It's hard to know how to understand what has been going through the mind of supermodel Naomi Campbell from listening to her testimony on the stand at the war crimes trial of former President Charles Taylor of Liberia. On one hand Campbell admitted under some duress that in the middle of the night after a 1997 charity dinner in South Africa hosted by then President Nelson Mandela she had received a pouch of "dirty-looking stones" from two men at the door to her bedroom. See video from her testimony here And Campbell said on the stand yesterday that the morning after she was given the...

Who's ready to play Hollywood word jumble again?!
File this under: I have absolutely no idea how this will end. Thai director Prachya Pinkaew, who directed the massively entertaining Ong-bak, as well as the completely insane Chocolate (which I keep meaning to review), has signed on with Millennium Films to make his first English-language film, Elephant White. Details are less than scant -- all I could dig up on the plot is that it's about a mercenary and his old friend who can't be trusted.
Then again, if you've seen Ong-bak, you know that story isn't really that important. What's interesting about this story in general is that Pinkaew is being given the opportunity. His films are certainly exciting, and he sure as hell knows how to direct an action sequence, but still... So far, only two people have been cast, and depending on where your allegiances lie, you'll either think that they're relative heavyweights,...

I hadn’t heard that “Ong Bak” director Pachya Pinkaew was looking to get into the English-language movie scene until I stumbled across this report that the Thai director had signed on with Zero Gravity Management for his beyond-Thailand representation. The short article also mentions that Pinkaew is currently at work prepping his first English-ish language movie, the actioner “White Elephant” with Djimon Hounsou (”Blood Diamonds”). While “White Elephant” will be Pinkaew’s first foray into making a movie for International audiences (one can reasonably assumed that with a Hollywood actor like Hounsou as the lead, this thing will have plenty of English dialogue, right?), he won’t necessarily have to leave the Thai border to do it. The plot has Housou playing an assassin who is hired by a businessman to avenge the murder of his daughter by white slave traders in Thailand. “White Elephant” commences production in March on location in Bangkok.
