Teppei Nakamura both wrote and directed this lovely little short film. I sure hope that some big-wigs see this film and realize that Nakamura is quite talented, as there is a lot to like in this film.

The movie begins with a lady noticing the same cute little girl looking in the window of a toy store longingly. However, on one occasion, she realizes that the girl comes from a rather cruel family and her heart is touched by the child's plight. At the same time, the lady is in a similar situation herself, with a partner who is constantly angry and who berates her with little provocation. When this lady later meets the child, she is able to finally understand the parallel in their lives.

This film is deftly directed and despite its subject matter, it doesn't come off as preachy. Well handled and compelling.
