A melodrama with a conventional plot. Its feature is a struggle between police officers and a gang of thugs, the former led by a lover of the girl who is sister of one of the gang and reluctantly an accomplice. It is not made realistic, nor is it really exciting, but will serve as a commercial offering. Some interesting shore scenes cluttered with cabins and shanties are shown. The photography is clear. - The Moving Picture World, February 14, 1914
