It's Academic is based on an original concept from the 60s where competing schoolkids battle for a final win by answering questions on educational topics. Simon Reeve is an excellent choice for host and his jokes are rather unapreciated by the kids (they laugh at about one in a billion). He presents the game in a simple but entertaining manner and the kids are about the only problem. It would be nice to see some kids who aren't ON the show watching it. Then the ones ON the show would get the answers right because they had actually learnt something. The subjects and segments are good, and there is a wide range of general knowledge ranging from pop culture to mathematics. As well as this, each player has a special subject he/she is especially well informed about, a chosen subject/topic. This show deserves to continue for years to come. An ineresting fat is that in the original the contestants were about sixteen years old (gr 10) whereas now they are much younger. Maybe having separate shows for each age group would be good, meaning more schoolchildren would be able to compete. But as it is it is a good show.
