David as detective
Leofwine_draca16 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Episode 310 is one focused on David, which is always welcome, and it manages to build up a head of steam as it goes along. Once again the search for Sarah takes priority, but once the adults are out of the way we're back to the spooky surroundings and creepy atmosphere.

Searching for Sarah.

Warning: Spoilers
It is really apparent that threatening as he is to Willie, Barnabas could not easily get along without him. Willie can really get to him at times with the way he looks off in stunned silence even if he snaps back with a haunting promise of what he can do out of the need for retribution and remain in control. This episode is all about the ghost of Sarah who appears to David in a globe, calling him to their special place. Barnabas and Willie had to Sarah's grave where David is hiding and Joe and Carolyn discuss the need to find syrup to figure out who Maggie's abductor was. Nancy Barrett gets to do the opening introduction, and I find her voice to be more appealing then Alexandra Moltke's as a narrator.

A good episode that focuses more on character rather than plot, you are still enthralled by the spooky atmosphere and how adult David is compared to the messed up adults around him. The color really adds an impact to the goings on, and Nancy Barrett is more strikingly beautiful in these episodes than the dreary looking black and white ones. While not strong Ansari, the episode is ultimately intriguing because it draws you in and makes you want to see what will happen in regards to Sarah next and how her coming into the story will impact Barnabas with the revelation of what he really is.
