By now the pattern is clear. Peter Kingdom has the main case of the week while following up what happened to his brother. In this episode the parents of a bright student has been turned down by Cambridge University to study law. She had a heart set on it apparently. It was Cambridge or nothing. (Not even Oxford!)
Sidney Snell will bring a quirky case of the week while acting as an irritant. A gas company wants to use some common land where sheep have been grazing for years. Peter Kingdom has to prove that the land has been used for grazing since time immemorial, the only problem is. In the 12th century that land was underwater.
Then there is Beatrice Kingdom. She wants to get back with womanising artist Alan McEwan who declares his love to her. Well she did buy him a sports car. Peter is convinced that the artist is no good for her.
Well it was obvious that the daughter deliberately flunked her admission interview. Lyle managed to find some important historical fact about the local area which was very convenient for the case Snell was fighting against.
As for Beatrice's story I could not care less.
