All is never well at Collinswood.

Warning: Spoilers
Yes, the past is never quite resolved in Collinsport as there are always ghosts or strangers lurking, some less noisy than others. So Victoria's intro this episode has a bit of irony in it. She also covers for Elizabeth's lies that she was not lurking around the house in the middle of the night. Carolyn seems satisfied. Enter once again Dennis Patrick as Jason McGuire, the friendly stranger and another returnee to town, curious about Elizabeth. Character actor Dennis Patrick (one of the suspects in J.R.'s shooting on "Dallas" 13 years later) is intriguing with his charming demeanor but obviously filled with the goal of a yet to be determined agenda.

It's interesting to note that Laura's storyline began just as the Matthew Morgan saga was ending, and Jason's story began just days after Laura's ended. There's a surprise mention of Elizabeth's missing husband Paul by Jason, and maybe that's the reason for Elizabeth's worry. I don't recall her getting a letter or call that upset her so the creation of this story is a bit mysterious. Something tells me so that this storyline until it concludes will not be as McCobb as the previous ones that involve ghosts, and that does give a break to the viewer before the big spooky story does begin.

Character introduction piece

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 195 is entirely centred around the introduction of a mysterious new character called Jason. It's okay as an introductory piece, obviously quite slow and dialogue-based, but fairly watchable. I did laugh at Victoria being so garrulous given the nightmarish situations she's just gone through.
