An amazing use of four minutes--short film makers NEED to see this film!
planktonrules18 February 2008
This film was a mini documentary about a musical combo who have been performing in lounges for years. Though they aren't famous, they love what they do and there is a great nobility about the way they do their jobs and still take pride even though they all appear to be in their 70s.

This is one of the most exciting short films I have seen in a long time. Now I am not talking about the subject matter, but am talking instead about how expertly it was handled. Imagine doing a nice profile on some interesting but unheralded men in only 4 minutes! And, in the process, lots of great but non-intrusive video techniques are used to bring it all to life and infect the viewer with the spirits of these men. I really doubt if given 4 minutes, Kurosawa or Truffaut could have done a better job. I am REALLY looking forward to more from this team and wouldn't mind seeing what they could do with the same subject if they had a whopping 10 or even 15 minutes! This is wonderfully crafted film making.
