Quality Euro porn, spotlighting a one-shot "Devil"
lor_18 February 2011
MADAME is an unusually "romantic" offering from the high-quality Marc Dorcel Euro porn assembly line. It is hardcore XXX to a fault, but avoids rough stuff and takes a woman's point-of-view, almost to the extent that the good ole "couples" porn trend of the '70s did.

I bought a copy based on the trailer included on a Dorcel winner titled THE WIDOW, and wasn't disappointed. MADAME's raison d'etre is to present in the title role a different looking leading lady than was in vogue at the time (or now for that matter): a buxom natural beauty who is mature but not quite a MILF either. She is simply offbeat, and well worth watching, though evidently she failed to establish a porn career.

Billed as Jana Pro, she doesn't seem like a pro but rather a naturally endowed woman enlisted into porn. Her "Madame" moniker is a nickname, stemming from her prim & proper attitude, while her day job is high fashion designer. Unlike many Dorcel productions, this was made on a limited budget and as a result there are no fashion scenes, models, runways, nothing, just the verbal indicator of her job.

Story is told by her niece, with voice-over in any language you want carrying the narrative as the cast mumbles in French. The niece is staying with auntie Madame and her husband (slimily played by the reliable heavy Horst Baron). Niece shares a boyfriend with her gal pal, and the two young women really are the focal point of most of the picture.

But it is Madame who is on the viewer's mind throughout, as helmer Jurgen Wolf carefully creates tension and suspense regarding her sexual servicing. Madame is frustrated by her husband's inattention, which is almost laughable in context, but makes sense when we see Horst philandering with hookers (or with the niece and pal). Chief hooker is the incredibly beautiful Oksana, who was rewarded with the starring role in THE WIDOW a year later. Cinematographer Tony Del Duomo also moved up from cameraman here to directing THE WIDOW.

For much of the action, Madame is a voyeur, unable to have a sexual partner and enjoying vicariously the younger women's freedom. At one point, neglected in bed by Horst as usual, she dreams of a lesbian encounter with guest star Katsumi, a torrid scene that K fans will want to have.

Typical of the suspenseful tease approach, one of Madame's friends invites her to a massage parlor (it seems like a legit one, until...), where two muscular guys are giving said friend the treatment. When Madame arrives and a bald masseur starts feeling her up before she's even disrobed to lie down on the table, Madame flees, with no action.

Climax of the film, very well staged and literally a climax, has the niece & her friend bestowing their boyfriends (including young porn stalwart Francesco Malcom, Europe's equivalent to Tom Byron) on Madame. The resulting threesome is highly arousing XXX porn, highlighted by terrific low angle photography of our heroine's bouncy natural 48s -she is a modern equivalent to those great stripper figures of yore like Ann Howe and Virginia Bell.

Though low-budget, film is well-shot in a mansion setting and maintains a consistently pleasant "no harm done" atmosphere. It's a must just to see this one-shot heroine, who IMDb identifies as Constance Devil, a new guilty treasure for me right beside the goth horror/porn actress Syn DeVil, an equally top-heavy genre starlet.
