With Victoria still missing. Elizabeth contacts Joe Haskell to see if he has heard from Carolyn. As Carolyn has been MIA for several weeks, it's not shocking for Joe to find her lounging and Burke Devlin's hotel room, and this results in a fight between Joe and Burke that basically ends with Joe telling Carolyn that they are officially over.
As daytime heartthrob Joel Crothers makes his first appearance in a while as well, it becomes very apparent that he is not considered a major player at this point, basically only around to represent young romantic leading hero with not much to do other than deal with Carolyn's childlike tantrums and create jealousy when the other young women (Maggie and Victoria) pay him any kind of attention.
When Joe and Burke return Carolyn to Collinwood, Elizabeth is surprisingly civil to Burke as they both expressed concern about Victoria. Joe finds Victoria's bag and they realize that she is somewhere on the Collinwood grounds. This episode is interesting in a traditional soap opera way, and does have some important plot developments, but it is too traditional to really stand out.
