It's about time that Beckett was given a big story, Mike hasn't been central in many episodes yet, he'd good here.
The young George Russo is good as Gary, he's had a very good career.
The law has changed since these days, patents are no longer legally allowed to physically harm their children, this episode shows exactly why that new ring was a good idea.
