Sergeant Boyden is hoping for an easy, quiet night shift, it's far from that, all manner of characters arrive.
Very enjoyable, different episode, they throw in the odd night shift episode from time to time, they are always enjoyable, this one really was, not a classic storyline, but a wonderful set of characters.
Lovely Joanna Bacon is excellent here as Gloria, aka Princess, I had huge sympathy for her character, really lovely acting.
Sergeant Boyden is once again portrayed as a bit of a lad, he's nothing like Cryer, Peters or Maitland, he's almost a little but dodgy.
I like that they showed Reg in a good light for a change, so often recently he's been the figure of fun, here they show him as capable, level headed, and very effective.
Some great use of linked up writing again, we once again see PC Lockett, unseen for quite some time.
