Cathy is on secondment to The Domestic Violence Unit at Stafford Row, PC Stringer attends a disturbance at a house, and finds something disturbing upstairs.
Almost horror vibes in parts of this episode, the story of the family, and those scenes in that room would have fitted into any horror film, really good, good that the ever reliable Barry found them.
Would Cathy have been allowed to have given the information she did about the ring, would it have been a conflict of interests? Nicely written though, ages ago she said she wanted to skip going for Sergeant, and to to domestic crimes, a really nice bit of linked up writing here.
A terrific cast, some wonderful people here, I adore The Wilsons, both Rudolph Walker and Isabelle Lucas. Lovely as always to see Caroline John, sadly no longer with us, the ex Dr Who companion wasn't listed in the credits, so I added her on.
This has been the best episode for some time, packed with content, great acting, truly excellent, 9/10.
