Don't they say that ignorance is bliss? That adage is carried out here as the English class prepares for an English test. Other than Harriet, who excels, Denton and the other student are beyond stupid here. Jokes are constantly made by them and Brooks about their cheating on the test.

When Harriet falls ill and fails the preliminary test, Boynton wants Brooks to tutor her and soon the other 2 join in for a tutoring session just when Brooks is about to go out on an evening date with the stingy Boynton who really shows how frugal he is in this episode.

Those questions on the exam are outrageous. How about giving examples of independent and subordinate clauses? That question on sentence structure needed more clarity.
