Don't Even Think About It!
Sylviastel3 September 2008
Naomi starts thinking about her biological clock ticking loudly than ever. She and Vint decide to have a child of their own. Naomi wants to name their possible son, Blade, since it's the most popular soap opera name while Vint wants to call it Vint Jr. or Vintina. Well, Mama Harper doesn't have room in her heart or home for another baby. She already has Bubba living with her and going to college. She decides to ask a friend, Rosemary, who has a baby boy named Garth to help change the minds of Vint and Naomi. Unfortunately, Vint and Naomi decide to work and make extra money on Sunday. Rosemary couldn't be more happier to let Thelma and her family babysit Garth. At the same time, Thelma is supposed to stitch a quilt for a local contest with Iola's assistance.

A stinker after 7 funny episodes
vitoscotti20 March 2023
Some classic sitcom themes seem to always work well... elections, jury duty, stranded, feuds, etc. The two themes that never work are crying babies, and barking dogs. This dud certainly continued the trend. The quilt subplot worked a little with Iola being a tyrant. The crying baby was a comedic disaster. The Vinton (Ken Berry) and Naomi (Dorothy Lyman) wanting a baby angle was humorous but mostly abandoned until the end. All the actor's comedic edges seemed to struggle through the commonplace script. Thelma was reckless dancing and gyrating with the baby in her arms too close to the kitchen door. Episode was a big dud.
