A different Alice

Warning: Spoilers
Alice Johnson was always my favorite character on Room 222. I loved her character when I was a kid and even though I find her a little annoying sometimes now that I rewatch these episodes when I'm older she is still the epitome of good hearted kindness. Karen Valentine did such a great job in the part and earned that Emmy but I wonder if she told the writers to write this episode portraying Alice with an edge. In this episode, our beloved teacher falls in love with a handsome writer who talks to her class. However, this infatuation arouses the jealousy of his vindictive daughter who sets out to ruin Alice (how dare she!). There is a good scene where Alice really asserts herself with Mister Kaufman when he mentions what is going on. Karen Valentine is a great actress and to me this is her best work on the show.

Student Tracy's father Jim is a playwright and he starts dating Miss Johnson.

An OK episode. Roger Perry plays Jim, he was in many 1970s guest shots. Tracy starts some rumors about Alice and her father, causing some concern to Mr Kaufman. Karen Valentine gives a good performance.
