This is an amazingly short film, yet at only about 3 minutes it sure packs a great idea into the film and the payoff at the end is wonderful.
This is a claymation-type film and it's about gangsters. A messenger is just about to be killed by the mob boss when suddenly the door bursts open and the tables are turned. What I loved about the film happened next, as you hear a 'cut' and the film is stopped. Apparently the clay actors are, well, actors and one of them blew his part again and they need to do a re-take--though that will be tough because one of the actors is now seriously incapacitated.
Making these clay characters real and then having a giant hand enter the film to prep the actors for a re-take was brilliant--turning the tables on traditional stop-motion filming. Very clever and well worth a look, I hope to see more from the folks who made this film.
