"Angie," as played by Melonie Haller, was the last attempt to introduce a female Sweathog, of which many were seen the first two seasons- Debralee Scott as Hotsy Totsy, Vernee Watson as Vernajean Williams, Susan Lanier as Bambi Forster the most notable. After less than two months the character was quietly dropped without fanfare, with the voluptuous Melonie going on to do a Playboy spread in March 1980 as one final blaze of glory. The entire classroom erupts when she walks into the room, buxom blonde Bronx transfer Angie Grabowski, who knows all the Sweathogs by reputation, and insists on becoming an equal member. Despite advance publicity, the whole exercise comes off as forced and pointless, since she never really fit in at all.
