Unlikely...
Just-A-Girl-148 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Bug and Nigel are trying to identify a pilot who was buried in the snow for over 50 years. They later try to find the remains of a second soldier who was also on the plane when it crashed. I get how they found the plane but it seems very unlikely that the two of them managed to find the remains of the soldier who survived the crash but died from exposure 50 years ago! Either his remains were scattered by animals or they had been buried in the snow. There was no explanation to how they found him when he could have been anywhere. It would have been better if the focus of the episode was to identify the pilot and find his son in time to see his father before the body starts to discomposed.

Silly goof...
schristensen-37 February 2007
Mt. Washington, where the "frozen airman" was allegedly found in this episode, certainly does not sustain the permafrost required to preserve human remains for 50 years. In the summer, one can visit the top of the mountain in shorts and a T-shirt. Lush green vegetation, as well as insects abound for months. The weather and other conditions are not conducive to such preservation. Even if this area of New Hampshire did feature permafrost, certainly bears, wolves or numerous other hungry scavengers would have assured that a skeleton at best would have remained there. Very poor research into a pivotal sub plot here. Sloppy job all around.

Another Episode Where the Writers Think That New England is California East
buddybradley-2266528 July 2020
In every episode it is clear that the writers and perhaps everyone involved in the show has never been near Boston or read anything about it. They have a map which they don't understand and randomly pick out places for events to occur. Streets of businesses and warehouses are chosen as old residential neighborhoods, nearby towns with hot springs are identified and in this episode permanent ice is found in New England. Well there isn't any. Nearest permanent ice is in Greenland. This show always failed to do it's homework. Of course if your premise is that the ME does the CSI and detective work too, you've started off phony.
