Mt. Washington, where the "frozen airman" was allegedly found in this episode, certainly does not sustain the permafrost required to preserve human remains for 50 years. In the summer, one can visit the top of the mountain in shorts and a T-shirt. Lush green vegetation, as well as insects abound for months. The weather and other conditions are not conducive to such preservation. Even if this area of New Hampshire did feature permafrost, certainly bears, wolves or numerous other hungry scavengers would have assured that a skeleton at best would have remained there. Very poor research into a pivotal sub plot here. Sloppy job all around.
