Warning: Spoilers
When a young woman Ellie Creed is found strangled. Wycliffe and his team initially believe that it is a return of a serial killer from 11 years ago.
The death seems to bear all the hallmarks of the earlier unsolved murders. Some of the information had never made public.
Soon another young woman is found dead but the pathologist is not convinced that the new deaths are the same as the old ones.
This does not stop a suspect from the earlier investigations to start behaving oddly.
Meanwhile Ellie was concerned about her father being imprisoned and this had altered her behaviour.
A somewhat unsatisfactory end to the third series. There was a concentration on a female detective that has never appeared on the show.
Then there was those shots of her husband each time DI Kersey chatted with her. It was easy to guess the killer.
