The second episode of the playlet was a cross between Coronation Street and Last of the Summer Wine.

The cast includes several performers who appeared on the cobbled street.

Set in a library where the head librarian is a dragon who wants to keep the library puritanical and behind the times.

Victoria helps her friend Sheila (Anne Reid) choose her dates from a new video dating service the library has installed.

Victoria then tags along when Sheila meets the dates, just in case one of them turns out to be a murderer.

Only for Victoria in her various disguises tends to gain the interest of the male date who have come to see Sheila.

Victoria Wood gets to do several good turns. First as the tarty stripper and later as the old woman who survived the nazi bombing of Eccles.

However the other actors all get a moment to shine such as Keith the first date who is a bit of a dullard.
