Can Kamansky cope with all this new-found attention?
planktonrules4 September 2021
When the episode begins, the Flight Engineer, Sgt. Kamansky does something truly amazing. Everyone on his B-17 was either unconscious or dead....and with some coaching he was able to land the plane himself. Not surprisingly, a reporter wants to make this a big story...which is fine, but Kamansky isn't ready for all this attention and adulation. The Colonel knows this...but Kamansky gets in over his head...and actually thinks the lady reporter loves him...though she is just using the man.

While this is a pretty good episode, my usual gripe about women in the show is again a problem. Lois Nettleton (the reporter) sports 1960s hair and wears a skimpy dress which might have gotten her arrested in the 1940s! It's lovely on her...but not true to the period.

Aside from all this, look for Burt Reynolds in a small part playing a sergeant.
