Suspense & Drama For Bobby
ccthemovieman-118 February 2010
Poor Bobby; he is so desperate to become an actor. He made a vow three years ago that if he didn't achieve his goal, he would give. Now, that final day is here and he's really on edge.

Most the episode builds up to that suspense, to see if Bobby can find an acting job before midnight. We even wind up with the gang at his apartment counting down the final seconds! Along the way, "Bobby" (Jeff Conaway) gives us a good exhibit of all well he can act!

Latka, meanwhile, finds $2,000 in cash in the back seat of a cab. That translates into a lot of laughs. Andy Kauffman ("Latka") is hilarious in this role on every Taxi episode, but give him a little spotlight here and there and he really shines. His strange dialect, followed by a quick "Thank you very much" always gets a big laugh.

The Bobby and his acting career subplot is all right, but the real funny subplot here is the one involving Hamlet the dog.
